This cottage is all about the view! Beach-side location at the base of the 199 steps - perfect for exploring the beautiful historic town of Whitby. Browse in the eclectic independent shops and sample the finest seafood in the local eateries. Walk up to the abbey, stroll along the piers and collect fossils from the beach, take a ride on the steam train to the neighbouring villages and explore the moors. Please note due to the beach side location of the cottage, there is unfortunately no parking.

Fleur Cottage is a 400y.o. cottage situated in a traditional Whitby gated courtyard just off bustling Flowergate. Walk out of the door and into the heart of Whitby with all its historic sights, quirky charm and vintage shops. There’s no better location! As with 95% of Whitby’s historic cottages, you cant park onsite but we offer free parking nearby. There are plenty of pay car parks & non restricted zones 5-10 mins away. If you’d like to stay longer than 3 nights, pls msg. No smoking thanks.

Its just a stone's throw from the beach, harbour, shops and restaurants/bars, but tucked away for peace and quiet. Sleeping up to 4 guests, featuring a kitchen and cosy living area with fire; together with a private outdoor space to catch the afternoon sun. Access is via a few flights of steps, so may not be suitable for people with mobility difficulty.

199 steps, Incredible location, beautiful cottage

The Shoemakers Cottage has undoubtedly one of the best locations in Whitby right at the bottom of the 199 steps tucked in a quiet alley off the cobbled street. A small but cosy romantic cottage over 3 floors close to the harbour, the abbey and very close to Tate Hill Beach. BBQ and picnic basket set provided. Romantic victorian freestanding bath in the main bedroom. Arrival is down the busy cobbled church street. Best location. On-street parking scratch card provided in the W zone 10min walk.

This fully modernised cottage is situated at the top of Carrs Yard (off Bagdale). The accommodation extends over 3 floors. The entrance takes you into the spacious living room and kitchen. Stairs lead up to a king sized bedroom and bathroom(with shower). Further stairs take you up yo a triple room with a stunning view of Whitby Abbey. The top room also has its own TV. A travel cot and highchair also available. The cottage is approached via approx. 15 stone steps and also has a private yard.

There is a bathroom on this level too, and a door from the main bedroom leads out to the charming patio area, sat next to the North York Moors Railway line and with stunning views over to the Abbey.
