Montreux from a different perspective
Our hike's destination is Grammont - a peak in the Chablais Alps, directly across the lake from Montreux. Grammont is also the site of 'Taurendunum event', when in 563 AD a massive landslide caused a tsunami on Lake Geneva. The first part of the trail takes us from the small mountain village of Miex to the milky-blue waters of lake of Taney. On its shores there is an alpine inn, which is a perfect stop for a snack or a drink. The toughest part comes next. For about 2 hours, we will be going only uphill with the path first starting as a paved road and gradually transforming into narrow path. We will cross alpine pastures used by shepherds to graze the cattle during the summer. Conquering the summit, we will be rewarded with a breath-taking view of the Swiss Riviera and Lavaux Vineyard Terraces (UNESCO World Heritage Site), unseen from elsewhere. For the way down, we will take a barely used trail that will take us through the dense forest on the southern slope of Grammont. We will end our journey in picturesque town of Le Bouveret, where you will take a boat back to Montreux. Other things to note I will plan the hike in accordance with local weather forecast and adjust the itinerary if necessary. Public transport and boat tickets not included. The length of this hike is 20.03 km (12.45 miles) with a total ascent of 1'229 m (4'032 feet).
Wine tasting, walking tour and fondue to do yourself
Discovery of the Domaine Bertholet cellar then a walk in the vineyards of Villeneuve with fondue on the way This walk is by ITSELF but is organized by Domaine Bertholet, a family farm of winemakers and winemakers for 4 generations. The experience starts at the Domaine Bertholet cellar in the center of the village of Villeneuve (Grand-Rue 36) with a visit to the cellar with the winemaker and the tasting of 3 wines (about 60 min.) Then we will give you the map of the walk and the key to the capit in the vineyards. A regular climb will take you to Villeneuve's more or less sloping vineyard. After a small hour's walk (rather steep and know how to read a map... for the course), you will access the capite in the vineyards where you can prepare yourself and alone your fondue (according to the recipe) accompanied by the white wine "Chasselas" from the Domaine. From here you will enjoy, while eating and enjoying a good glass of wine, a beautiful view of the lake beyond the vineyard. When the heart tells you, you'll reach the checkout in 3/4 hour. Other things to note The start of the experience is either at 10: 30 a.m. for lunch or at 4: 30 p.m. for evening meals (allow at least 3: 00 a.m.) *Possibility to go for a walk without tasting *This experience can be hosted for more than 6 people upon request
Off the beaten track in Interlaken
We will start off by taking the train to the village of Wilderswil. If you are not familiar with the region, please let me know and I will help you plan your route. We will follow the hiking trail along the Saxetenbach river through the Sytiwald forest. This trail is barely frequented by the locals or tourists, so you will get to immerse yourself completely in the mystical alpine forest domain. Once through the forest, we will arrive in the secluded Saxettal valley with Saxeten village at the center of it. This village is a breath of fresh air from the tourist Meccas of Interlaken and Lauterbrunnen. If you want to properly visit the village or buy local freshly made cheese, please count a detour of 1h - 1h30. After Saxeten we will continue hiking up through the forest to Abendberg - an abandoned hotel. From there we will enjoy one of the best views of Lake Brienz before going back down to Wilderswil. This is a mountain hiking trail, so good shoes are absolutely necessary. This is a round-hike and it will end at the same point where we started. I will plan the hike in accordance with local weather forecast and adjust the itinerary if necessary. If you are feeling confident, we may also take a slightly longer trail. The length of this hike is 19.46 km (12.09 miles) with a total ascent of 1’001 m (3’284 feet).
Snowshoe adventure and fondue in the Swiss Alps
This snowshoe trail is a beautiful loop of 4 km, and takes place in the cute little village of Murren. During our hike, we will have the most impressive views from the Lauterbrunnen valley, and from the famous mountain trio of Eiger, Monch, and Jungfrau. We will meet at Murren BLM train station, jump on our snow shoes and go on a stunning hike for about 2.5 hours around beautiful forests and snow-covered landscapes. After our hike, we will walk through Murren’s tiny little centre, and head down to Gimmelwald, a traditional farming village, where we will enjoy the best fondue from the swiss alps. Walking down to Gimmelwald will take us 45 minutes approximately, or a 5 minutes gondola ride is also possible. The tour will be planned according to fitness levels and weather forecast, so the itinerary will be adjusted if necessary. We can do longer-shorter hikes in same or different areas upon request, and meet up location can be changed depending on group requests. The length of the hike is 4 km (2.5 miles) with a total ascent of 240 m (800 feet). Good physical condition is required.
FlywithFlo Paragliding near Lucerne Switzerland
We will take off from Mount Niederbauen for a Panorama flight (10-20 minutes) in Emmetten. If it's possible we will try to flight over the peak of Niederbauen. From there you have an amazing view over the lake Lucerne and to Gotthard, the main reach of the Alps. We can choose other take offs like Engelberg or Biehlen. It always depends on the wind for this day. There are a lot of different landing and takeoff places around. This is the reason cause Swiss is one of the best countries for paragliding and "hike and fly" tours. We can take off and land almost everywhere if the landowner allows it. The basic requirement for the start is that the passenger is able to walk a few steps because we have to accelerate for the start in order to take off. The landing is relatively easy, as the pilot and passenger straighten up and take a step before touching the ground. After landing there is the possibility to have a look and purchase photos and videos (cost 30 franks extra) made during the flight by the pilot. Other things to note: Costs for cablecar, parking, transfer are NOT INCLUDED to the price. Paragliding is not an extreme sport in Swiss by the opinion of the insurance. The possibility to get hurt is much lower than with skiing or driving a motorbike. There are more than 14000 active pilots in Switzerland.
Cellar tour and wine tasting
Welcome to Domaine Bertholet in Villeneuve! Domaine Bertholet is a family farm of winemakers and winemakers for 4 generations. Our wine shop is made up of oak lightbulbs and barrels, enamelled tanks, and borsaris. You will have the chance to visit the cellar with the producer with explanations about the estate and the wine production process. You will end with a friendly moment with a tasting of 4 wines from the Domaine. You will not leave empty hands since the winemaker will offer you a souvenir bottle of about a value of about 15 Fr. Exciting discovery tour through Bern! 令人興奮的伯爾尼探險之旅
I know Bern, the capital of Switzerland, inside and out. It is a wonderful city with a lot of charm and there is really a lot to discover. This is also the reason why I would like to show the guests the absolute TOP sights of the capital: On foot we explore the beautiful old town and visit the Cage-Tower, the magnificent Bundeshaus (our parliament), watch the computer-controlled water-fountain, walk over a 40m high bridge (Kirchenfeldbrücke) with a fantastic view, admire the Zytglocken-Tower with the impressive Bell-Play, the impressive church (the Münster cathedral), the former poor quarter of Bern, the Bear-Pit (where real bears live), the Aare (this is the river that flows around the city), the Tramdepot (a restaurant where you can drink a variety of different beers) and maybe, if we still have time, the Rosengarden (a big park with lots of flowers and roses and a fantastic view of Bern)! But that's not all: As a "Bern expert" I know many mysterious places and stories like nobody else...read on! Other things to note Good shoes (e.g. sneakers. NO flip-flops), because we walk approximately 3 km. Sun protection (hat and sun cream). Rain protection.
