Great place to see a glacier and also to see the how the glacier has been retreating for the past years (about 1 km for the past 15 years). Recommend a glacier walk tour with arcanum glacier tours

Sólheimajökull glacier is a beautiful outlet glacier. You can have a short hike approx. 20 min to get a great view of the glacier or even do a glacier hiking, ice-climbing or kayaking trip in the glacier lake in front of it. We can highly recommend going onto the glacier. The views and landscapes are unreal! Guiding companies we recommend: Arcanum and Icelandic Mountain Guides.
