One of the best options for traditional Lithuanian dishes in Old Town, this is a jolly, warm-hearted, meat-and-potatoes place with welcoming cavernous rooms downstairs and window-side tables at street level. Feast and drink amongst antiquated folk utensils and cartoonish wall paintings and be served by smiling young locals in old-fashioned costumes. The potato pancakes with bacon and mushroom sauce are outstanding. Plenty of vegetarian options too.

Traditional place, despite being on the main pedestrian drag it is still good value and provides a full range of local dishes to try

Traditional Lithuanian food. Try "cepelinai" - grained potatoes filled with meet, boiled and served with some sauce. There are two traditional soups - cold pink soup and soup in bread pot.

FORTO DVARAS is the first restaurant in Lithuania to offer traditional dishes certified by the Culinary Heritage Foundation. These are dishes prepared in a traditional way using local products. Lithuanian music is played in the cozy environment of the ancient manor, decorated with elements of old graphics and drawings from authentic books.
