Praia de Vale Centeanes is a lovely sheltered, sandy bay with some rocks at the eastern end and is a couple of kilometres to the east of Carvoeiro town. There is a restaurant at the entrance to the beach with toilet facilities and in summertime there is also a hut selling cold drinks and ice creams. The road down to the beach has recently been done up with parking areas and a turning area at the bottom. The cliff faces, especially beside the restaurant are showing the effects of the waves constantly rolling in and eroding them, but they look quite spectacular. The access to the beach from the car park would be suitable for wheelchair users as it is a gentle slope down and the walkway runs across the back of the beach.

Praia Vale de Centeanes, Beautiful rocky beach, perfect for sunsets, only five minutes by car. You can also have a drink just above the beach enjoying the view.

This stretch of sand is situated at the bottom of high, steep cliffs similar to those at Carvoeiro. With the high cliffs offering shelter from the wind Vale de Centeanes beach is a haven for sun-worshippers. The cliffs themselves are a point of interest and worth a closer look where they have been eroded into unusual shapes. The snorkeling is also good around here. ----- Este areal situa-se no fundo de falésias altas e escarpadas, semelhantes às do Carvoeiro. Com as altas falésias a abrigar do vento, a praia de Vale de Centeanes é um paraíso para os amantes do sol. As próprias falésias são um ponto de interesse e merecem um olhar mais atento, onde foram erodidas em formas incomuns. Fazer mergulho também é bom nesta pequena praia.
