Fun to watch for both adults and children, Kaan is an exciting show that uses modern technology to create special effects and illusions. Based on Thai folklore and mythology, the spectacular 75 minute show features creatures as flying dragons and huge robot like creatures. Kaan combines a stage show, cinema and the latest technology to create a thrilling and engaging show with dramatic scenery and spectacular action. Flying dragons and artificial lightning storm Kaan show uses technology as 4D projection mapping and animatronics to create gigantic creatures, a flying dragon, large robot like creatures and an artificial lightning storm. Skilled actors perform human aerial acrobatics. The theatre Kaan Show is performed in the D’LUCK Cinematic theatre which has been purposely built for the show. The theatre is equipped with the latest technology. Beautiful stage design and props create dramatic scenery where the stories unfold. Divided into several seating zones, seats are comfortable with good views of the stage from every seat. Technology Kaan show uses the latest technology to create a thrilling show with numerous special effects and illusions. With high definition projection mapping, a technique used to simulate movement, the show creates optical illusions and makes 2D objects appear as 3D. State of the art animatronics uses robotics to simulate a human being or an animal. The theatre is equipped with an advanced and modern sound and lighting system. It also features several characters from the Ramayana, a famous Indian epic. The Kaan Story Every visitor receives a booklet with the Kaan story. To best follow the story, read through it before the start of the show. The story starts with the main character Kaan reading books in the library. When the librarian sees he is bored, she gives him a book with his name on it. When he opens it, Kaan with his companion Gabilpuksa, a furry half monkey - half bird creature, is somehow transported into the fantastic story. The wrath of the Sea Giantess This story is inspired by the Phra Aphai Mani, a famous Thai epic poem. It tells of an exciting journey across high mountains and deep seas to Wonder Island. Watch Prince Aphai Mani flying his magical horse Nin Mang Korn, sailing the oceans on a huge ship accompanied by mermaids when a sea ogress called Nang Phi Suea Samut and her army of sea monsters attack. The colors of Himmavanta An adventure set in the Himmapan forest. In Hindu mythology the Himmapan forest surrounds the mythological mountain Mount Meru, the center of the universe. The forest is inhabited by mythological creatures that have features of several animals in them, like a horse with the head of a bird. Also living there are the Kinnaree, half human - half bird, that are believed to protect humans. The animals in the forest are in uproar when the Kinnaree realize that Pran Boon, a famous hunter from Thai literature, is on his way to the forest to hunt. On a black night with lightning flashing through the dark sky and the roar of loud thunder, two Gods battle in the sky. Mekhala, the Goddess of lightning and the seas and Ramasura, the God of thunder fight when Ramasura transforms himself into an enormous demon. The wager for the ivory Kingdom Based on the Sang Thong tale, the story is set at the King’s palace where a huge banquet is held. Six princes have come from far away lands to the palace to compete for the King’s daughter. To select the best husband for his daughter, the King releases a giant monster and a fight to the death starts. The winner will get to marry the princess. The Underwater Abyss The underwater abyss is based on the Krai Thong story, a folktale from North Thailand. The story plays in a magical underwater cave where many crocodiles live. The cave is ruled by a ferocious crocodile named Chalawan. A fight to the death in the underwater world between the huge crocodile and a brave man named Krai Thong ensues. The Cataclysm This story that tells of a huge battle depicts several characters from the Ramayana, a famous Indian epic. The King of demons has entered our current time. He has transformed himself into a giant steel robot with a massive number of weapons and sets out to destroy the world. Kaan with Rama, Lakshmana, Hanuman and his army of monkey warriors take on the demon King and a battle to the death starts. Take your photo with the actors Cameras are not allowed in the theatre. Before and after the show many of the main characters will be in the foyer. You can make your photo with them free of charge. It is right across the street from the Colosseum Cabaret theatre. Get there by songthaew, taxi or tuk tuk. Songthaew To get there from central Pattaya by songthaew, first get to the corner of South Pattaya road and Pattaya 2nd road. Get on a songthaew towards Jomtien and get off at the intersection with Thep Prasit road. From there take a songthaew on Thep Prasit road towards Sukhumvit road. After about one kilometer you will see the theatre on the left hand side. Show times There is one show daily, except on Wednesday. The show starts at 7:30 pm. There is no show on Wednesday. Ticket prices The theatre is divided into four seating zones. Ticket prices at the D’LUCK theatre are: AdultChild Sky zone2,5001,500 Ocean zone3,0001,800 Cloud zone3,0001,800 Star zone4,0002,400 Child rate: Age 5 - 12 years or height under 140 centimeters Children younger than 5 years old are not allowed in the theatre.
