Located in Listowel, the Garden of Europe opened in 1995. It contains more than 3,000 trees and shrubs and is divided into 12 sections, representing the 12 members of the European Union at the time of the project’s commencement. At the lower end of the garden is Ireland’s only public monument in memory of those who died in the Holocaust and to all victims of injustice and oppression.

Well kept garden off the main park with beds representing the member states of the EU - good for a nice peaceful stroll. The Garden of Europe is also host to Ireland's only Holocaust Memorial Monument.
