Old-school Italian deli that's a hit with firefighters and other long-time Hill residents. The "G Man" is your basic Italian sub with all the fixings and probably our fave (we think it's much better fully dressed) but we have relatives who swear by the tuna salad.

Fantastic carryout sub shop that is a local favorite. It's only open Monday - Friday until 2:30 pm. The G-Man sandwich is legend in DC.

Some of the best sandwiches in the city are in this unassuming, minimalist mom-n-pop a couple blocks down from Barrack’s Row. Be careful, only open from 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM Mon-Fri.
