Tips from locals
Downtown silver spring includes a lot of Ethiopian, west African, and Asian restaurants as well as a great farmers market on Saturday mornings in the town square in “veterans plaza”, which becomes an ice skating rink in the winter. There’s also a movie theater, many lounges, and a mall.
Shop, enjoy a nice restaurant, or catch a movie. Every Saturday morning farmer market boths are set up in the middle of street.
