You will be located just 10 minutes walking distance to our local pub/ restaurant The Half Barrel. The food is fantastic and the atmosphere is lively. Beside the pub in the village is Treacy's Foodstore and down the street is Mc Dermots Post Office and Foodstore. The Lake is 5min from the Cabin with a beautiful sandy beach, definitely not to be missed during the summer. With so many small roads in the area you have the option to walk, run or cycle meeting only 1 car at times but on very scenic routes taking in the Lake at many angles. if you are looking for peace and tranquility, Whitegate will deliver.

I added white gate on the food scene because it has the half barrel public house, it’s a local we all go to because the food is mighty not to expensive and the welcome is hearty!
