The seafood and fish dishes here are some of the best in town in my opinion. The decor is beautiful also.

The Mad Monk on Plunkett St. only opened in 2019 but has become a favourite. Fish is as fresh as it gets. Good selection of wines and other drinks. They also do chicken and steak grill specials. The restaurant is owned by Quinlan's who have their own fishing boats in South Kerry, and also own Quinlan's bars for Fish and Chips (eat-in or takeaway) in different locations in Kerry and Cork. Excellent restaurant for seafood. Quinlans also do great take away fish & chips. Yum!
