old mile long pier originally started to connect Vieques to main island, but never finished. beautiful views, snorkeling, diving.

Mosquito Pier was created by the US Navy for large ship docking, and Vieques hoped cruise ships would choose to anchor there (but they haven't). It's also the future ferry port (but not yet). For fun, there is great snorkeling around the rocks by the pier. I assume some fish there too (but that's not my thing).

Cool relic from the Navy days. Great views and beautiful sunsets. Excellent photo shoot location. Amazing snorkeling.

Built by the US navy to create an artificial harbour during WW11 to house the British Armada after Germany bombed London. It never happened, the war ended and so did the project.
