Why locals recommend it

The breakfasts are great here. We had our family reunion here one time, and we got to all eat breakfast and drink our Irish Coffee and then go do some sightseeing down on Fisherman’s Wharf. If someone’s visiting, they should have the Ramos Fizz here, too (they call it a New Orleans Fizz). It’s a special old-school breakfast drink that we call Mother’s Milk. It’s blended, and it’s got some cream and an egg white and gin and some orange flower water in it. Coat your stomach, and then after breakfast have an Irish Coffee.

The birthplace of the Irish Coffee (supposedly) and a San Francisco landmark.

They won guinness records for the biggest cup of Irish coffee. Aside from the irish coffee - great grass fed burgers and salads. Usually open till 2am. Great breakfast spot too.
