Breezy hike to Cascade Falls and Three Wells. Take in the rustic-chic vibe of this century-old hideaway in the midst of towering treetops. Bask in the scents and sounds of nature as you enjoy breakfast on the deck, or brush up on your piano skills from the comfort of the sun-drenched music room. Gather for alfresco outdoor dining off the kitchen. Following a day's hike from one of the many trail heads relax and take in the beauty from the decks. Views from every room to the surrounding forest. Down a long path is the entrance of the home. Not appropriate for guests with limited mobility. Renovated with new furnishings, beds and high quality linens. Refinished original hardwood floors throughout. Renovated kitchen features restored vintage Wedgewood range, Kohler farmhouse sink with Brizo faucet, new Kitchen Aid dishwasher, and custom cabinetry. Thoughtfully designed custom lighting, as well as lighting by Restoration Hardware & Rejuvenation. My husband and I live in the neighboring town of Tiburon, and use this home occasionally as a nearby retreat to rest, enjoy the outdoors, and spend family time with our kids living in nearby San Francisco. Kindly note our strict policy precluding any gatherings larger than 6 guests. To access the house, please note the entry includes a relatively long pathway leading to our home. The redwood steps are newly built and comply with code standards for outdoor steps (evenly spaced, graded with proper incline, and tread height). Due to the many steps it may be challenging for those with limited mobility or small children. You have access to the entire home during your stay, as well as nearby public walking trails into town. I will provide my guests with access information to the house a couple of days before arrival. There will be additional information about the house on a welcome letter there inside; and, while your privacy will be completely respected, we are happy to be available to answer questions. Nestled in the hills, the property boasts a scenic walking path which leads down into Mill Valley town square. The nearby station offers bus transportation into San Francisco. Muir Woods National Monument is also located within an easy drive or an adventurous two and a half mile hike. It is most convenient to drive to our place. To get around Mill Valley there are many interesting walking paths and trails to explore the immediate area. Uber and Lyft are convenient for rides leaving the town square. For day trips into San Francisco, ferries depart from nearby Sausalito & Tiburon. Also, bus transportation into SF leaves from the Mill Valley town square. House layout includes— upstairs: one queen bedroom, living room, kitchen, dining room, vintage style bathroom, deck with dining furniture, office, and music/art room—this level does not have central heating, but does have radiant floor heating in bathroom, remote control heater in bedroom, & radiant heaters in kitchen and living room. downstairs: three bedrooms, cedar lined bathroom, living room with TV, laundry room, and two decks with lounge furniture; this level does have central heating. Our place accommodates a maximum of 6 guests.The rate includes the City of Mill Valley 12% taxes (hospitality & tourism).

Whimsical House with Enchanting Gardens

Custom built space with eco-friendly sustainable materials. This place is tucked away in what feels like the country in the city...enjoy a morning with fresh coffee on the rocking chair porch and relax listening to the sounds of birds. Nice quiet space with nearby park cheer from time-to-time. This is a dog loving property with friendly neighborhood pooch's hanging out, so if you are afraid of dogs, please give us proper notice so we can accommodate. Guest access to the Gazebo, Island, 2-acre Trails and Treehouse is by APPOINTMENT ONLY for the time being - we are renovating and finishing many-a-things and will open them up for public use and fun asap. We are friendly people who respect privacy. We consider new visitors new friends and try to meet all our guests so you feel comfortable with the surroundings and enjoy them even more. We're happy to offer friendly guidance, info and support (discount for writers and artists who stay and create and share)! We really want you to enjoy your time with us. There is 3 additional buildings on the property so friendliness is a must. Nested between a park and suburban neighborhoods, the three acre property off a small graveled lane, is embraced by limited residents and undeveloped forest areas that create a secluded, quiet and private vibe. Right outside the house's gates, is a trail leading through the woods to the park for peaceful walks under giant cedars, maples, pines, and douglas firs. Giant rhodedendrons, mossy trees, and native plants bring a variety of wildlife to the property and neighborhood. Close to both 405 and 520. Walking distance to Microsoft! The bus system is within close walking distance as well and there is a path to Grasslawn park right out the door and through the woods. There's also the bike trail leading to the burke trail just a few neighborhoods away. Bike friendly and we're tuning a few of ours to also offer to our guests...stay tuned on that perk. This is a 1-bedroom facility (3-ish story) with a loft and day bed all within the same air-space as the queen main bed. So if you plan on having 4 people stay (family) you'll be bonding even more so! Bring your story books and ear plugs if you're planning on sharing the space. :) And if you're planning on taking advantage of the sofa bed downstairs in the living room - get ready to wake with the sun! East facing beds for sunrise alarms available pending the season. There are too many windows to count... Also please note that this house has many imperfections and really is more of an art project. Expect lot's of "character". There are many areas that could be better and we'll continue to improve them as we can invest in them. In the interim, we just think they are kinda cute and enjoy finding joy in our faults and imperfections. Please note that during the winter months, our 1960s artistically unique treehouse may get chilly. However, we have plenty of space heaters and throw blankets to keep you warm. The house is in a secluded, wooded neighborhood with quiet neighbors. Enjoy 3 different decks on the top floor, each with a different ocean or forest view. Inside the home, you will enjoy the clean and comfortable space with luxurious touches throughout. The treehouse comes with all the amenities you need to enjoy your stay. It has 3 bedrooms, a full bath, and a full kitchen with everything you need to make dinner for 6. The house cannot sleep more than 6 people including children of any age. A total of 8 people can be in the house. After 8 pm additional guests need to vacate the premises. This is to ensure the continued use of our permit as well as to respect our neighbors. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. We will send you the rental agreement shortly after booking. Guests will have access to the entire house and are free to explore this 1.5-acre wooded property. I will meet you at the property to say hello and provide you with a door code. The house is located in a quiet secluded neighborhood next to Nicene Marks Redwood Forest State Park, just outside of the city of Santa Cruz. It's perched on top of a small valley, overlooking the ocean. The neighborhood is very quite a private - please do not disturb our neighbors. Absolutely no parties or outside amplified music. The Dream Boat is a bohemian-inspired home with a warm, open feel. There is a king-sized bed in the private bedroom and a comfy double pullout mattress in the sofa. Our home is professionally cleaned and disinfected before your arrival to ensure optimal comfort and safety during your stay. The space has a warm open feel with a king size bed and very comfortable pull out sofa. Cable TV. There is also a gas grill on the deck and a full kitchen equipped with everything you need to cook meals. Please also use our ski locker located in the main entrance of the building. Please do not bring skis or snowboards into the unit and please do not wear ski boots in the condo as they will damage the flooring. Also please be respectful of our neighbor below:) You will be able to use our whole condo. Unfortunately due to HOA rules guests are not allowed to use the fireplace. The condo does not have access to a hot tub but the Steamboat springs hot springs is just down the road or the famous strawberry hot springs is about a 15-20 min drive. The free bus will take you to the resort but you must change a bus in town or on hwy 40. We have free wifi and a smart tv so you can connect your netflix, hulu or amazon account if you want. Also included is cable TV. The home is in a peaceful location with a free yellow bus line outside that heads to the center of Steamboat Springs. Take a relaxing dip into the local hot springs, go skiing in the winter, and enjoy riverside dining in the summer. The free yellow bus line picks up across the street. You must switch to the blue bus line to get to the ski resort. There are two spots available for renter parking in the building lot.
