    Highlights

    • Current Superhosts will keep their status through the next three assessments—April, July, and October 2021—if they meet criteria for response rate and overall rating
    • Only hosts who meet all four Superhost criteria will be eligible for the $100 USD Superhost travel or Airbnb Experiences coupon

COVID-19 has disrupted the travel industry and the routines of Hosts around the world. To acknowledge this complex and difficult time, we’re making temporary changes to the next three Superhost assessments, happening in April, July, and October of 2021.

We know your Superhost status is valuable to you—especially as you prepare to welcome guests once travel starts to recover. So if you’re a current Superhost, we’ll extend your status at the next three assessments (through December 31, 2021) as long as you continue to uphold a 90% response rate or higher and at least a 4.8 overall rating.

During this period, current Superhosts will not need to meet our usual criteria for:

      • 10 stays in the past year (or 100 nights over at least three stays for hosts with longer-term reservations)
      • Maintaining a cancellation rate of 1% or less

We started extending Superhost status in April 2020, the first Superhost assessment during COVID-19, and we’re continuing autogrants through the 2021 assessments. As travel recovers and autogranting ends, current Superhosts will need to meet all of the criteria again.

Because the Superhost assessment factors in the previous 365 days of performance, if you have a high rate of cancellation now unrelated to COVID-19, that could impact your Superhost status in the future. Track your Superhost status here

Please also note that for the 2021 assessments, any quarter in which a Superhost misses any of the four criteria—including stays and cancellation rate—will not count toward the four consecutive quarters required to earn a $100 USD travel or Airbnb Experiences coupon. Superhosts who do meet our usual criteria will still continue to have these quarters count toward their coupon.

We’ll continue to monitor the impacts of COVID-19 and make appropriate updates for our valued community of Superhosts. As always, thank you for consistently demonstrating what exceptional hospitality means.
