Tips from locals
The spa at Aghadoe Heights Hotel & Spa (listed above) is awesome. Go there on a rainy day and warm up in their thermal spa - they've got multiple steam baths, saunas, showers and heated lounge chairs. It's around 20- 25 Euro for a day pass and worth it. If you book a treatment you can use the spa all day.
Great panoramas over public parkland from high point - Lough Leane, islands, mountains. May have been a pagan site superceded by a Christian settlement before Saint Patrick.
Visit the remains of the stone church and a round tower dating from 1027 and enjoy one of Ireland's most beautiful scenes overlooking the Killarney Lakes.
