To take a drive from Glengarriff to Kenmare is a definite must, spectacular scenery as you go through the mountains through a series of tunnels.

Kenmare is a great town for high quality Restaurants and Pubs ,music entertainment and shopping. Driving to Kenmare also fun as it is part of the Ring of Kerry with beautiful views of the bay

Kenmare is my favorite town for nice shops and a cozy atmosphere: 1. The White Room; a treasure trove of traditional Irish linen and lace fabrics tasteful furnishings and home decorations. 2. Hallisseys: At first glance Hallisseys appears to be a typical Irish One-Stop Shop, and indeed it has stocked all manner of household goods. If you pop inside the door you may find yourself tempted to wander the aisles and discover an Aladdins Cave of homewares and gifts. You can find everything from wine-making kits and cookie-cutters to birdhouses ... and everything in-between! 3. Kenmare Bookshop; Browse the wide book selection of Irish interest, literature, best sellers, children's, local and general titles. They have an extensive collection of survey maps and walking guides.

A sweet little town with a great atmosphere and interesting local shops and a great ice cream shop! Visit the stone circle and have food in one of Kenmare's pubs.
