It is the highest mountain in Ireland at 1038 metres, and is a must do for any intrepid explorer. And on a good day you can see the whole of the coastline from county Cork to county Clare. Breathtaking! The height might not sound too great, however, all things considered, this is a very weather-dependent trip in my opinion. The weather can turn in an instant... Always plan carefully, be well prepared for anything, make sure you can use a compass and take a map, and let someone know where you are going and what time you expect to be back.

A magnificent hike, but only for experienced climbers. This route is quite tough and needs full mountain attire. Boots are a requirement, a fully charged phone, food and water supplies. Always go with someone and tell others where you are going and what time to expect your return. Please research well before you attempt it.
