Christmas village is a must costo at Bryant Park! You can ice skate getting a 10% off if you have Bank of America or for free if you bring your own ice skates! I would recommend to make your reservation online in advance in their website to not waste time!

In the wintertime, this public park becomes a free ice skating rink (if you have your own ice skates - rentals are available), as well as a winter marketplace with over 2 dozen vendors serving up food, hot chocolate, cider, clothes, and other artifacts!

A very urban park - it’s a lovely place to hang out and sit or picnic. The winter village has a lot to offer and ice skating there is lovely. It can be very busy so go during off peak hours to avoid the big crowds.

Small but mighty park close to Times Square. You can almost always find events and food stalls. In the winter there is ice skating and the amazing Christmas shops! In the summer they have free movies and free yoga.

Right behind the Public Library, this small park sees a lot of action: a christmas market during the holidays, yoga, concerts, and outdoor movies in the summertime. It's a nice place to sit and take a break from shopping or site seeing.

“Times Square is the most iconic area of the city. While it is always crowded, first time visitors shouldn't miss the bright lights. This location is even more exciting after the sun goes down and you can really appreciate all the chaos.”

Park
“A walk, peddle, or carriage ride through the crisscrossing pathways of Central Park is a must-do on anyone's New York City itinerary. In winter, you can even lace up your skates and glide across Wollman Rink. This huge park in the city center, a half-mile wide and 2.5 miles long, is one of the things that makes New York such a beautiful and livable city. Besides being a great place to experience a little nature, Central Park has many attractions within its borders, and most of them are free, making it one of the few cheap things to do in NYC. Some of the most popular places to visit include the Belvedere Castle, Strawberry Fields, the Central Park Zoo, and the Lake. If you are exploring the park on your own, start by picking up a map at one of the visitor centers and plot your routing.”
