A wonderful spot situated on the Ring of Kerry has lots to offer. The ancestral home of Daniel O'Connell, an important figure in the Irish liberation movement, now serves as a public museum to the man known as 'The Great Liberator'. A secluded beach that is perfect for families and those who wish to take a dip. On a sunny day this is a must for me, so much so I call this area the 'Costa Del Kerry'! Another great feature of this area is the Kerry dark sky reserve. A 700 square km park that offer dark unpolluted night skies. Perfect for star gazers and romantics.
