Alpaca walking & experience
Join us for a leisurely stroll along the Jurassic Coast with our friendly and lovable Alpacas, there are plenty of breathtaking photo opportunities of the stunning coastline. Group bookings are available for parties of 10 or more people. (20 people or more would be based on people sharing an Alpaca) Please message for details. If you cannot make the walk at 2PM we can also offer a morning walk ( please message for details). Pottery Wheel beginners taster session
A 2 hour introductory class for those who are absolute beginners - you will learn the very basics of throwing on the potters wheel. This will include weighing and preparing balls of clay before you start, then the basics of the wheel - from centering your clay, pulling, shaping and working with your tools, beginning to learn the techniques of throwing bowls and cylinders. This is a fun and quick way to introduce yourself to throwing on the wheel and is suitable for complete beginners. This is a fantastic way to enjoy and learn the age old art of the potters wheel At the end of the session you will be able to choose 1 of your pieces which will be bisque fired for you then glazed in a colour of your choice and fired again. Your pieces will be ready for pickup usually within 2 months of your class, but sometimes longer. Pick up will be arranged via an email or can be posted at a small charge There will be a maximum of 6 people attending this class. Each person has their own dedicated potters wheel
Beginners’ Surf Experience in Newquay
Arriving at our central base in Newquay, you'll be welcomed by myself or one the team. After an introduction and a quick overview of your activity, it's time to jump into wetsuits and start getting kitted up for your experience. Once everyone is ready, we'll make the short walk to either of the Newquay's famous surfing beaches. We break the lesson down into two parts and explain everything you need to know in stages. Remember you don't need any previous experience and you'll have the support and guidance of your surf coach throughout the lesson. From explaining beach safety, how to manage your surfboard to catching waves, the first part of the lesson is designed to make you feel comfortable in the sea. After a quick break and​ recap on the beach, we'll cover some tips and techniques on how to 'pop up' and ride a wave back to the shore. The majority of our lessons take place from waist height in the surf so you don't need to be a strong swimmer. Just keen to give it go! Paddle Board Lesson
BSUPA accredited Instructors, will coach you through your experience on this ready to ride lesson. The lesson is aimed to teach you all the fundamentals of paddle boarding, from different paddling positions to turning, and to give you the knowledge and skills to SUP safely, as well as having a lot of fun learning new balancing skills. Water safety and general weather conditions for paddleboarding are also taught on this lesson. On the day you will be required to fill in an industry standard liability form. Other things to note In the summer months the water temperature is high enough not to use a wetsuit, but it is always recommended to contact us prior to your lesson and we can advise on appropriate clothing. A Surfing Experience In Bude
Arrive at Widemouth Beach (Not Blackrock) 15 minutes before your surfing experience. Meet your instructor by the Freewave Surf Academy surf trailer which is at the top of the steps to the beach and by the RNLI Lifeguard hut. You will get you sized up with a toasty warm suitable wetsuit, soft surfboard, leash and Freewave Surf Academy identity vest before heading down on to the sand. Once one the sand you will receive a safety brief about communication, entering the water and catching waves as well as some interesting facts about the beautiful Widemouth Bay. Before hitting the surf, you will go through a good warm-up and possibly a bit of beach yoga! Then its time to hit the surf and to see what surfing is all about.

Art class / resin ocean art
The class start with quick meet and greet so everyone gets to know each other. I will describe the art project everyone is about to work on. The overview will provide information regarding the techniques which is broken down by short easy phases. You’ll jump right into a the action of mixing resin and adding sand for our first layer for our beautiful ocean art pictures. Next step is to pic up two blue pigments ( one slightly brighter second slightly darker ) . I will talk about different techniques of pouring resin and safety. (Resin is a chemical) Cakes and coffee /tea served thought the class as soft music is playing in the background. In this workshop you will learn everything you need to know about pouring colourful and mesmerising resin art. Come and visit India and Lara in our jewellers workshop in Montpelier, Bristol. Here we are fully equipped with benches and jewellery making tools to help you make your perfect signet ring. You will spend a fun and creative evening learning the craft of wax carving. We have a hands on approach to teaching to ensure you are happy with your creation! Stone carving workshop with a Master craftsman
Our popular stone carving workshops run throughout the year. The training in the Neo Gothic Mansion is hosted by the Stonemasons Guild of St. Stephen. The classes are overseen by the Guilds talented Master who is a past Master at Windsor Castle, The Vatican and The Doges Palace, Venice. You will receive expert advice on handling the tools and working stone and will return home with a small masterpiece of your own making.

Coasteering Adventure in Newquay
From wild swimming, and low-level traversing, to everyone’s favourite, deep water cliff jumps. Not to mention scrambling up gullies, swimming through sluices, getting washed around in whirlpools, or exploring large caves. Coasteering has something for everyone and provides a unique way to explore the coastline in a fun and relaxed environment​. Arriving at our central base in Newquay, you'll be welcomed by myself or one of the team. After an introduction and a quick overview of your activity, it's time to jump into wetsuits and start getting kitted up for your experience. Once everyone is ready, our coasteering location locally known as 'the Gazzle' (Cornish word for armpit) is just a short 5 minute walk away. Before we enter the sea your guide will explain and demonstrate all the various elements you will come across and the skills you'll need to have an amazing time. Remember you don't need any previous coasteering experience & you won't have to do anything you don't want! BUT you must be confident to swim at least 50 metres in open water. Other things to note Coasteering is an activity governed by the tide and sea conditions on the day. Our session times reflect the best today conditions each day. No coasteering experience is necessary​​​ to join. You can do as much or as little as you like.
Tour & Tasting of a Cider farm
The Cider Farm Tour and Tasting begins in the Tasting Room with a sample of excellent organic apple juice, and an introduction to the Cider Farm family. We venture into the orchard of 3000 West Country cider apples. You discover some of the fascinating history and folklore behind cider and experience a surprise 'Wassail' or orchard blessing. Bees are important to us and we tell about their role in pollination, chemical free farming and wildlife. I explain how we craft our British Champion Ciders over 8 months from sun ripened apple to crisp, golden nectar in a glass. With a behind the scenes tour of apple pressing, harvesting and bottling equipment, you can see how see we press the apples and produce the ciders. We encourage guests to ask us questions about the art of blending and the alchemy of turning apple into award winning, amber-gold cider. The Tour is completed with a sampling of 4 delicious, handcrafted ciders, all made from organically grown cider apples, from Sweet Maiden cider, Old Harry Rocks vintage, Dorset Wild Cat, to our Elderflower, Ginger or Damson ciders. After the tour, you can relax in the Cider Garden, admire the art. Please dress according to the weather with appropriate footwear and coat, as we take you for a walking tour of our orchards.
Cave and Shipwreck Kayak Adventure
Starting from the Blue Flag Gyllyngvase beach in Falmouth Cornwall. Our 2-hour sea kayak adventure takes you into sea caves, through rocky gullies, over submerged reefs and up close to mysterious shipwrecks. Sea Kayaking with us is a fun, friendly and safe way to discover and explore Falmouth’s beautiful coastline, wildlife and maritime history. Every Adventure starts with some basic paddling tuition, our sit-on-top kayaks are all fitted with comfy back rests, are very stable and easy to paddle. Other things to note Age restriction: Anyone below the age of 18 must have a parent / or guardian accompany the child on the activity. Minimum age limits is 12 Yrs
Craft a set of silver rings
During the workshop experience you will learn traditional craftsmanship jewellery making skills and techniques in small groups in a relaxed atmosphere. You'll be welcomed into my home, where the sterling silver ring making workshop will take place. You will learn to size your finger, measure out silver, cut, file and shape the metal before moving on to soldering, texturing and polishing. Eco silver and use of tools are included in the price and your pieces of jewellery will go home with you. Although designed for beginners, all are welcome to come and get creative with silver. The workshop will last approximately 3 hours. If you can't find a day or time that fits in with your plans, just get in touch as I am happy to change the workshop calendar to suit you. Please note that I have a friendly dog. She will not be taking part in the workshop and will only be allowed in to greet you if you agree...however, if you have allergies this is something you need to consider.
Paddle the Pembrokeshire coast!
A Kayak tour around the bay reveals an old stone fort built to protect the area from pirates and a variety of marine life. Where the harbour meets the open sea, paddlers are rewarded with views of the Pembrokeshire coast towards Dinas Head, a rugged coastline of towering cliffs and caves. We'll kit you out with toasty wetsuits and equipment to keep you warm happy and afloat. Then after a quick safety briefing, we'll hop on the kayaks (single and tandems available). Next a practice and a play before heading off around our sheltered coastline talking about local history and marine life. Paddling into the secluded bays and caves that can be found on the Pembrokeshire coast is a great experience not to be missed. All our tours are tailored to the group and the weather to maximise enjoyment. Great for couples and groups of friends. Your photo memories are free and included in the cost of the experience.
