  • Hidden Stairways of San Francisco
The perfect experience for the whole family! This breathtaking 2 mile walking tour of San Francisco's hidden stairways is the #1 rated Airbnb Experience in the Bay Area, loved by both locals and tourists alike. See gorgeous mosaic tiled steps and hear the stories behind them, then take in stunning 360° views of the Golden Gate Bridge, Golden Gate Park and downtown San Francisco. You'll also discover beautiful neighborhoods and gardens that many locals are not aware of and that tourists rarely see. Oh, and you might even go home with a succulent! I'll provide commentary, context and some history along the way. Generally SF is dry May-October. There can be fog in the summertime, mostly in the morning. Temps rarely above 70F (21C) or below 50F (10C). Rain may cancel. Guests should be reasonably fit. Though we don't cover many miles, some of the terrain is steep. It will be necessary to carry small children as strollers are not suitable. If you bring a guest that’s under 18, it’s your responsibility to make sure the activities they participate in are age-appropriate. Instagram: @hiddenstairsSF or hiddenstairsSF@gmail.com

  • Pottery in the Mission
We will start with some of the interesting history of the studio space. Then I will get you situated on the wheel and show you how to properly secure your lump of clay. After the clay is secured we start the wheel spinning nice and fast. I will show you how to center the clay which is a very important (and frustrating) stage of making pottery on the wheel. After we successfully center the clay, you will explore how the clay moves and reacts to your touch. We will work to form a simple shape such as a bowl or cup. To finish off we will do some clean up of the form and remove the piece from the wheel in order to start experimenting with the next piece. You can expect to get to practice with around 6 lumps of clay (more if you are ambitious) and most people will create 2-3 pieces by the end of the session. Pieces will be professionally finished, fired, and glazed after the experience. This process takes at least 3 weeks. After the pieces are finished you can pickup in the studio or they can be shipped. Shipping costs are paid by the guest. Other things to note Come wearing clothes that you don't mind getting messy. We will provide aprons. If you have long hair plan to have a hair tie or a way to secure your hair back. Trim long nails if you are able.

  • Golden Gate Park Geocache Treasure Hunt
Join us for a treasure hunt walking adventure through Golden Gate Park. I will show you how to play the game of geocaching along the way. You will be surrounded by gorgeous views and hidden treasures in the fifth most visited urban park in the United States. Geocaching is an outdoor treasure hunt game played by millions around the globe. We find secret treasure containers that are hidden in plain sight, trade a small prize and then replace the container for the next player to discover. You walk by these EVERY DAY without knowing something is hidden there! There are 900 geocache treasures hidden in San Francisco and 50,000 in the Bay Area! On our trek, we will seek out 4 geocaches together and hike through my favorite gorgeous urban trails and I’ll point out all the awesome parts of the park you need to come back to. I will give you lots of tips on how to find geocache containers and share stories of my favorite geocaching adventures. Along the way, I will point out some hidden secrets of Golden Gate Park that locals don't even know about. Check out more pics from our past adventures on Instagram: @geocachingsf After our adventure together, you'll be prepared to find any of the 3 million geocaches hidden in 190 countries! This experience is great for dates, parties & team building! I can accommodate children if you message me beforehand especially for private groups.

  • Haunted SF Ghost Hunting and True Crime
Brave San Francisco’s dark and ghostly past on a real ghost hunt through old Chinatown and Gold Rush alleys. You’ll use modern ghost hunting gear, including your own EMF detector during the tour. After meeting below the Transamerica Pyramid (after dark, of course), a local guide escorts you down haunted alleys, through mysterious neighborhoods, and around historic street corners. Stand atop old Gold Rush cemeteries, learn of paranormal activity following mysterious deaths, visit the site of infamous brothels, hear about Gold Rush–era hauntings, and how Chinatown’s gang wars shocked the city. Your tour ends near Portsmouth Square. This tour is not recommended for children under 13.
