Simply put, this is the best bar in Ireland...music nightly from 9pm, huge open fireplace, cozy, no TV, no Gaming machines, just conviviality, conversation and oh, did I mention the 1,000+ antiques and bric-a-brac... in Salthill village, just 3 miles from cottage. Taxi for four 15 euro.

The award winning Twelve Hotel has a great reputation for food, drink...and ambience and music...oh...and a great pizza parlour and free wifi... and the Aran Ferry bus picks up there.
