The Big Bear Alpine Zoo is a rehabilitation facility offering injured, orphaned and imprinted wild animals a safe haven; temporarily while they heal or permanently as they are unable to survive on their own. We are extremely proud that 90% of all the animals brought to us for rehabilitation are successfully released back into their native environment. Those that remain with us on exhibit are either too injured or have been imprinted by humans and can not be released back into the wild to care for themselves.

''Axe Throwing was SO MUCH FUN! So it's by reservation only and you can only do that online. I would suggest making your reservation in advance because when we got there, every time slot was filled. It's definitely worth the $30 per person for an hour, and you can get a group rate if you have at least 6. This was our first time ever ace throwing and it was a blast. Will definitely be back the next time we're in big bear!''

"LOVED this place and I will definitely be returning. We stayed in Big Bear for the weekend and had brunch here. They allow dogs if you are seated outside. The food here is delicious and the service is unmatched. Our server Harmony was so kind and attentive. All of the servers wore masks at all times and the outdoor patio look very clean and had a great view of the big bear village. I ordered the Cranberry Turkey and Brie Sandwich and let me tell you, that combination of flavors is something everyone needs to try. The Cranberry jam really adds a lot to the sandwich and overall it was my favorite thing to eat there. We also order crab cakes as an appetizer and they were very yummy. They do have a teeny tiny kick to them, so of you absolutely cannot handle spicy food then beware of these. I'm not a fan of anything remotely spicy, but I still enjoyed these crab cakes. Overall, great environment, great food, and amazing severs!"

''The Teddy Bear specializes in home-style cooking. We make all of our own pies from scratch on the premises. Customers have been known to drive up the hill just for a piece of pie. My mom Gladys has been making our pies since 1971. She continues to oversee the pie making, but has some much deserved help. Our soups, chili and machaca are all original Teddy Bear recipes. We serve old fashioned shakes and malts. We've added a number of items over the years. One of our latest is our homemade chicken pot pies made from scratch and baked fresh daily. You might have noticed that some of our items have a name attached. Some of our regular customers have come up with their own personal meals. (We'll try to make just about anything you want if we have the right ingredients). Some of their orders were so good we decided to add them to the menu.''

It's a pretty intense beginning, 10-20 minutes of it then after that, there different paths you guys can take that are fairly easy. I would for sure say pack some water though.
