Great place for coffee, breakfast and home-baked treats after a walk in Coole Park or a visit to the visitor center. Sometimes the local Theatre put on a show in the grounds, which is a delightful experience.

Such a wonderful peaceful walk, lots of natural flora and Fauna. Not strenuous. Family friendly. There is a few interesting features along the way such as an old well. There are benchs to sit and enjoy the wonderful views and sounds of the river. This walk has been restored by a local voluntary group.

Privately owned castle. Available for functions. Events such as the castle race series takes place yearly. At the opposite side of the lake from the castle is a public area from leisure swimming and kayaking. This amenity can be accessed from the Ballyturn townland area.

A wonderful village to visit. A few nice coffee choices. Friday is local farmers Market day which is such a lovely experience with bagels, juices, vegetables, flowers, music and much more. A lovely way to pass a Friday morning
