Visit the cutting edge of LA's art scene. Small galleries and studios along with an excellent culinary scene prove why this is a perfect place for your visit. I recommend Ubering or driving to skip any walking through Skid Row as tents can often take up the side walks.

Traveler advice

Book before you go

Walking DTLA at night

Overall DTLA is safe. But as with any large city, I encourage vigilance as rowdy tourists may attract unwanted attention. Since we in close proximity to Skid Row, please keep track of all personal belonging as you travel from place to place. Nothing puts a damper on a trip like a lost wallet. Also, well-lit streets are best in the company of other groups. DTLA has a special non-emergency task-force that assist 24-7. If there is an emergency call 911.
