One of the most amazing slights in Portugal is the famous Benagil cave! Take a local boat into the caves or swim around from Bengil beach (Please note this requires calm waters and strong swimmers) Go early in the summer months. It can get busy!

City/town information

Loule town is wonderful and if you're looking for more of a local free and something away from the beaches this is the place for you. Head there on a Saturday and you'll see all of the local markets selling hand crafts items to fresh fruit and veg, fish, honey and batalhou (the Portugese salted fish)

Lady of the Rock in Porches is one of the main things that attracted us to the Algrave over 11 years ago. It's beaches, its cliff, the rock formations and this wonderful momma Mia stye chapel that stands proud at the end. This chapel is the host to many weddings (including our wedding actually) and is definitely worth a visit!
