Doolin is on the doorstep of the stunning Burren National Park. This limestone region covers over 360 square kilometres and has numerous historic Irish villages scattered throughout. We highly recommend the Burren Coast road which leaves Doolin for Fanore and into Ballyvaughan - from here you can continue to Galway - or travel inland to Poulnabrone Dolmen, the Burren Perfumery and Ailwee Cave. There are endless walks that we can recommend throughout the park and historical sites including forts and tombs. This geo park is well worth a minimum of a day to see all it has to offer.
