You walk here from the apartment only 100 meters to the entrance to Killarney House and follow the path to your right. It is almost 5Km to the castle and the old copper mines.

At the bottom of the Street is Knockreer Lodge & House. The lodge is now a cafe run by Down Syndrome Kerry. This entyrance gives access to the Demense wher you can do a circular walk back to town or beyond in to the Killarney National Park.

Just a lovely place you could never tire of. Fabulous coffee shop and restaurant, craft shops of product made in Muckross.
My tip would be hire a bike across the road from the apartment building and make a day of it. Buses and taxis go there too.

Located on the same street below the apartment building. This is an excellent restaurant offering vegetarian and vegan dishes as well. It is open 5pm to 11pm and the take-away service is even cheaper for the same size portions. It is really good!

About 150 metres from the apartment is the Plaza hotel. I really enjoy the food and service here. Serves all day 5 star quality and opens 7 days a week. Nice cafe vibe out front with a large dining area in the back. Top class restauarant called The TanYard restaurant as well for the evenings.
