Cacela Velha is a lovely village at about 10 km from Tavira. The view over "Ria Formosa" and the ocean is breathtaking.
While you're there, go to Praia da Fábrica, a fantastic beach, where you can go by boat, or, if the tide is low, you can simply walk to the other side.

Cacela Velha is a lovely village at about 10 km from Tavira. The view over "Ria Formosa" and the ocean is breathtaking.
While you're there, go to Praia da Fábrica, a fantastic beach, where you can go by boat, or, if the tide is low, you can simply walk to the other side.
Here you can either catch a small train that takes you to the beach, or you can walk. It's a 15 min walk.
