This is less than a ten min drive. Its a lovely place to spend a few hours, tour the house, walk the gardens, definately cycle if you can. there great tracks for the kids esp from here to torc waterfall or to muckross abbey or dinis cottage teahouse. the traditional farms are also here and well worth a visit. there is a restaurant here. i dont recommend the hot food but the teas and buns are nice to have and you can eat out on the lawn if weather nice.

Torc mountain itself has a railway sleeper path up to top from back of mountain. take the road called old kenmare road and drive to car park and walk from there. the climb will take 3 to 4 hours up and down. the views at the top are worth it.
