Right down the hill from the Baja House, by the ocean and near the San Miguel surf beach is the San Miguel Restaurant. They are only open 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. serving breakfast or early lunch, but it’s a great place to start the day.

More than a restaurant, this place is a whole experience up on hills overlooking a beautiful stretch of ocean. Reservations are usually required although sometimes mid-afternoons are available. Sunsets are great but it gets cold, be sure to take warm clothes.

Right on the ocean with spectacular views, dependable high quality food, tasteful surroundings and great service. Just be aware that one of my guests asked for their recommendation for wine but neglected to ask for the price, turns out they were $200 US dollars each (he ordered 2). So don't be shy about asking prices on any wine or food before ordering, here and anywhere in MX.

Another wonderful breakfast and lunch place, open until 4:00 pm, just 5 minutes from the Baja House. Outstanding food, bakery goods, expresso coffees and teas. In an industrial area of the port (near Wendlandt brewery) but a cool interior setting.

Tamales are always a great, quick pick-up meal. Get some extras in case you need a snack or meal later. Also they are well-cooked so should be fine for sensitive stomachs (although some are spicy). Also right next door are roticery chickens, also a quick to-go meal and combines well with tamales.

Amazing Baja fusion cuisine. built into an oak tree and with additional outdoor seating areas. A project of Javier Placencia, one of our famous local chefs. Higher end ($100 to $200 USD depending on whether you have wine) but worth it if you are a dedicated foodie.
