Union Square Park is one of my favorite places. The mix of people are fantastic & never boring. There's a local farmer's market in the park on the weekends. Across the street is Wholefoods. Go there!

The south ferry terminal has boats that take you to the statue of liberty. You can also take a free ferry ride to staten island. This offers some of the best views of NYC.

Take a walk up East 41street to Tudor City Place. This is a private hidden gem. It's just 4 blocks and It has great views of the water, the UN and 42nd street. It also has a small and beautiful park.
