City/town information

Our nearest town and always worth a trip. Lovely beaches, lots of cafes & restaurants, wonderful old buildings in the town centre, and a choice of several larger supermarkets and an indoor fresh fish market by the Marina.

Sightseeing

The town overlooks one of our nearest beaches and it is spectacular. The large sandy bay is always popular but don't ignore the rocks - many have fossils in them. The town is small but has basic shops and several cafes and restaurants with wonderful views of the sea.

One of the many beaches on the West Coast that is popular with surfers due to it's sheltered sandy bay and good surfing conditions for most of the year. Drive drive North on the EN120 for about 35km, turn left to Arrifana just before reaching Aljezur.
