Traveler advice

What to pack

Bring a good selection of weather proof clothing

Light rain gear and umbrellas are a good idea when sight seeing in the west of Ireland. Don't let the weather put you off from getting out and about seeing the sights and enjoying what Galway has to offer 😎🌂🌤🌞 summer showers are often short lived and even the dullest day can hold a break in the clouds to reveal spectacular sunny spells. Always have swim wear and a towel packed on your day trip to take advantage of the beautiful shoreline along your travels 🏖🩱🩳 appropriate footwear will enhance your ability to take a dip in places that may be rocky or sea weed laden 🩴🩴
Getting around

Public Transport is an option too

Take the stress out of city parking and take the bus or train from Oranmore to the city and surrounds. There is ample parking at the train station in Oranmore where you could leave your car if planning to explore Galway City by foot or if you're planning a day trip the Aran Islands by boat from the City.
