Sightseeing

It's so nearby for a quick dash out if staying in for most of the day. Full of history, fresh air, wonderful photo shoot and there is a cute Tea room across the road with also a Pub and restaurant.

A beautiful fun day out if the weather is kind, you catch a boat from Mountshannon harbour. Don't forget to bring the Rosery beads if you are intending to say a few prayers. It's also worth bringing a picnic or stay a short while and eat in the Snug pizza restaurant or The Oak Café is excellent too.

Picturesque village with craft shops , pubs, restaurants and ferries to the Aran Islands which I cant recommend highly enough, especially if you catch the homeward bound ferry that goes under and by the Cliffs of Moher, a must see, wonderful for bird watching too.

This walk can be combined for relaxation and some cool dining at the 'The Gallery Cafe' in the main Square of Gort. Gort is also good for grocery shopping where you will find Aldi,Lidl and Open Sesame healthfood store within the Super Value shopping center.
