This is a nature reserve set in the grounds of Lady Gregory's house (which is no longer there). Some of the original gardens are still there to wander around, plus there are several woodland and lakeside walks.

The ruined monastery at Kilmacduagh is quiet amazing in it's size. The tall round tower dominates the surrounding countryside and is a sight to behold.
You can walk around much of it free of charge (donations requested).
The old chapel is still there, plus the ancient graveyard where locals still are buried.
