Mintwood is a great, classic American place, and is just at the end of the block. While reservations are useful, it is often easy to go in and grab a seat at the bar for dinner or drinks.

This is our newest neighborhood gem! From the owners of Tail Up Goat, this is more pasta forward, with an extensive wine list and beautiful bar area.

This is a relatively new and absolutely amazing burger place. We've never had a bad meal here! They don't take reservations and waits can be long, depending on the day, but it's worth trying.

This is a very fun bar, with a few things to eat. Iraqi owners, unique middle eastern drinks and well made dishes. Try the Muhammara!

This is probably the lowest key of our recommendations. Easy to get a reservation, relatively easy to walk into, and with very accessible food. Their mac and cheese is especially good, and it's a great place to take kids.

Tryst is a coffee shop reminiscent of Central Perk on Friends, with overstuffed sofas and table service. They have a much bigger food menu, and it's a great place for breakfast or lunch.

The Line hotel has several restaurants, all of which are great, but it's worth going in just to check the place out. An old church turned into a hotel, the architecture is spectacular. The downstairs restaurant is less expensive and more casual, upstairs at A Rake's Progress it's pretty pricey but really delicious. NOTE: During the pandemic the Line has closed a Rake's Progress.

Grocery stores

This is a medium sized grocery store just up at the corner. It should have most of what you might need for snacks and even things to make full meals. Note: there is also a new market across the street and to the left called STREETS. It has more selection, but is too new to show up on the list of options for the guide book.
