Adobada is my favorite, but you can’t miss here. Order the steamed onion and grilled peppers, they’re free and delicious.

The birthplace of the Caesar salad, great old school bar. Valet Parking is extremely affordable here but make sure to get your car back before they close or you’ll be ubering back in the morning for brunch.

Great spot for coffee or cocktails as soon as you cross the border (or before you leave!). There’s often great tacos and amazing pizza available. A childhood friend of mine owns this spot with her husband and they were recently featured in The NY Times.

My favorite spot for cheap fish tacos. Can’t be beat. Try the marlin with cheese extra crispy (dorado) or the pulpo enchilado (spicy octopus) or the staple fish/shrimp Baja style taco.

Great food, better cocktails, and an amazing view of downtown make this a must visit. Plus there’s often live music on the weekends and downstairs is an independent movie theater.
