As the name would suggest, Velo Rouge (Red Bike in French) is a haven for bikers. Cyclists often stop over here on their trek from Marin to Golden Gate Park. Velo Rouge also hosts great live bands.

Sozai has the city's best ramen, and always has a long line. Since they don't take reservations, here's a hot tip: Put your name down and enjoy the sunset from our roof.

Easily our fav brunch spot! Everything is DELICIOUS and sourced locally, organically + sustainably to boot. Average weekend wait time is two hours(!) though, so try to go on the weekdays if possible.

This is a wonderful bike ride, if you're the athletic type. Start from our place, ride you bike down through the park and wind your way back up Laguna Honda. Terrific panoramic views. We've got 1 bike

Amazing views of the golden gate park. Easy trail, but lots of steps. A must-do while visiting the city.

Sightseeing

Everything about this place, from the complete living rainforest to the conservatory, is first class. My favorite feature is its world-famous sloped living roof - a must see.

Essentials

You can get twice as much fruits and vegetables here as you would at get at Andronicos for the same amount of money. Much of their produce is organic too, although it is not well-labeled.
