Parks & Nature

Its the heart of Oakland:-) 3.5 miles walk around the entire lake...bring layers it gets breezy on the west side:-) The lake is both salt and fresh water with turtles fish and every water bird you can imagine. No swimming but you can rent a kayak, peddle boat, or gondola. Live music all day on the weekends.

Great place to walk by the water, bring a kite, lunch, rent a boat, wind-surf, etc... For kids, there is a free play ground and a build-it-yourself play structure called Adventure Time. If you find a nail, you get a tool or paint brush.
