Traveler advice
Getting around
La Jolla Cove
La Jolla is a small community with large tourist traffic. La Jolla Cove is the most visited area in La Jolla and there is not enough parking. I recommend taking an Uber from the cottage to the Cove. This will save time and headache of trying to find parking.
Ways to save
International Markets
there is a neighborhood called Clairemont, which is 10 minutes from La Jolla. There are several international markets and you can find many vendors where you can buy the best dishes at a fraction of the price. I highly recommend Zion market food court.
Book before you go
Excursions
I highly recommend booking activities 24 to 48 hours before you intend to go. Often times things get booked quickly, especially in the summer.
What to pack
Beach Days
Don't forget sandals, sunscreen, and a selfie stick. The three s's! :)
