The most beautiful walking park you will ever encounter, it is a must see. The trails of the preserve are crushed stone carriage roads laid out by John D. Rockefeller Sr. and Jr. in the first half of the 20th century. Designed to complement the landscape, 45 miles of scenic carriage roads are wide and easy to walk.

Rockwood Hall is located in the Rockefeller State Park Preserve along side of the Hudson River, the views of the River are magnificent. This is a local favorite to many who grew up in Sleepy Hollow and Tarrytown. Walking from the parking lot as soon as you reach the crest in the hill you be awestruck by the beauty and will find yourself on top of what us locals call "laughing hill" try running down it and you will see why! This is my favorite area of the preserve don"t miss it.
