Whenever you want to say "Hello" the word in Portuguese is "Olá", if you want to say "Thank you" you will say "Obrigado" if you are a man; but, if you are a woman you will say "Obrigada". It is always regarding to you and not the person you are talking with. Our word for "Please" is "Por favor".
