We are in the country! On state highway Route 34B, about halfway between Ithaca (13 miles) and Aurora (14 miles), originally built as a "grandmother" cottage. Located in mid-Finger Lakes, never far from a waterfall. Rural setting, property grows vegetables, flowers, and fruit.

The space
The cottage includes rear room with futon; an all-new kitchen with fridge, stove, dishwasher, washer/dryer, coffee maker and toaster; bathroom with tub/shower; bedroom with new queen-size bed; and front room with pull-out sofa. Vacuum cleaner, iron, ironing board. Furnished and equipped, including linens and towels. Municipal water, private septic system, heat and air conditioning powered by heat pump system. Wifi shared with owner's system.

We have lived in Lansing since 1978 and raised 3 children here. The little house that we rent out was built for my great-grandmother in the late 1940's and was later my grandmother's home for 21 years. We love the Finger Lakes - the beautiful landscape, the community, the arts, the variety of food and wine, and all of the opportunities to be outdoors, gardening, hiking, kayaking.

When we travel to other regions, we love to explore from a base that feels like home, where we can cook and relax in comfort. We hope that visitors to our country cottage will experience that.
