Indulge in what nature can bring you. The large windows make you feel like you are already outside. Mind you we have tables, chairs, a hammock for two for your leisure outside. You can also use our kayaks. Feel in peace with nature. Bed size: Queen 60" X 80"

The space
Relaxation. This is what you get when you enter this home by the lake. There are enough windows to see right through the house. Secluded in a wooded area, you will feel the calm enveloping you. Bring some books or an e-book. If you want to decompress, this is the place to be. You will leave fresh and ready for all life can bring you. There is a hammock in the summer and hopefully some ice skating in the winter.

Very courteous and attentive service and friendly tips on the attractions
We are 20 minute drive from the MacDonald Bridge crossing to Halifax peninsula. There are no restaurants within two minutes drive. Only one store.
There is a community bus within three kilometers.

Our place is unique as it has won an honorable mention in the Architectural Design Awards in 2006. There are not many homes in Halifax that have a room with a glass garage door facing a lake if any.

You should check our Retreat on the Lake in Nova Scotia.

Paul Losier is from New Brunswick, Canada but now live near Halifax, Nova Scotia on a lake called Lake Echo. The name of this village is Mineville. He loves being on the water so he is on the lake as often as the weather permits. He did war canoe and C-4 for 9 years with Banook Club in Dartmouth, NS when he lived in Dartmouth. He still works for the government as an IT analyst. Paul believes in a simple way of life as when you come down our driveway all the stress evaporates and goes away.

Joey is from Chéticamp, Cape Breton. A self employed holistic artist. After working and traveling for VIA Rail Canada for sixteen years, between Halifax and Montreal, he finally decided he had to be home. Having gone through depression/bipolar disorder his heart said "enough!" so the last eight years he has worked hard on letting out his past beliefs, from his childhood and past conditioning. His keys to his sanity are Mantra (Meditation 21 day meditation challenge with Depak and Oprah) and his Healing Art (lg Collage). His art are his gifts from within his sacred spot, his Soul. Realizing that if it wasn't for his past "Depressions" he wouldn't have created his art pieces and wouldn't be the man he is today.
Though most importantly Joey has implied himself into his passions which is his arts. He has always dreamed of some day traveling the world by showing his life story through his arts to let others know that the depression of his past was always meant to be there so he could change the image depression has on the world.
At this present moment he can be himself and be a stronger person than ever was before which was always his true calling! If you give yourself a chance at loving yourself and not fear yourself you can accomplish more than you ever imagined. You will only become your true Self once in a lifetime, unfortunately too many souls never blossom into their true beings. This is what he is here to help others become by simply being themselves.

Paul and Joey's home is a little sanctuary, surrounded by beauty in all it's forms architecturally, environmentally & spiritually. A little paradise away from the hectic outside world and is and was a big part of joey's healing. So is and was his husband Paul as he is and was probably the biggest factor in making all of this possible as a best friend, a partner and a husband.

Joey has taken some courses in holistic/energy healing like Reconnection & TNC (Technic Neuro-Cutanée), Laughter Yoga and Ayurveda, the Indian practice of The Science of Life. He doesn't practice Reconnection, TNC or laughter Yoga though they were there to help him become who he is today. If asked if he gives energy healing he will passionately do so with much care and appreciation but he will call it "being joey" because he has not been re-certified as a Reconnection healer.

As he and Paul love helping people in any way they can, this is why they are doing Air B&B. Joey's addictions comprises health in all it's compartments including mental, physical and spiritual. His favorite meal is breakfast. Creating colorful passionate dishes from thought to creation is another way of expressing himself.

They're home is your home. They have an incredible peaceful place and they truly love and appreciate they're life in Mineville. This is why they want you to feel at peace and comfortable. As happiness is not so much in having but sharing and they know that life is not always a piece of cake they thought sharing their home with the world would bring them the most joy and yours.
