Foxglove Farm is a 120-acre organic farm on Salt Spring Island in British Columbia, Canada. The farm is located on one of the original homesteads on the island nestled in a mountain, forest and lake ecosystem rich in flora, fauna and natural history.

The space
The Red Cabin is a set of two cabins. Cabin 1: Cozy sleeping cabin (Sleeps 4, 3 adults + one child) with a double bed in the loft, and two single beds and armoire, small couch in lower sitting area. Cabin 2 : A fully private kitchen/bathroom area, 20 ft garden walk away from Cabin 1. Cabin 2: Bathroom, shower, toilet and sink. Kitchen private for guests breakfast preparations, offers a fully equipped stainless counter, sink, refrigerator, stove, microwave, pots, pans, plates and utensils. Cabin use includes dining tables, an outdoor picnic table. Bountiful breakfast baskets of fresh picked seasonal fruits, vegetables, and fresh eggs can be ordered in advance and can be awaiting for you on arrival. Please baskets order ahead!

Foxglove Farm is nestled in the heart of Salt Spring Island next to Mt. Maxwell Provincial Park. Abundant hiking and biking as well as quiet walks on the farm. It is located just 10 minutes outside of Ganges.

Foxglove Farm is nestled in a mountain, forest and lake ecosystem rich in flora, fauna and natural history. Surrounded by hundreds of acres of protected forest and agricultural fields, bordering Maxwell Lake, we are just minutes from hiking trails entering Mount Maxwell Provincial Park.

Your hosts are Michael Ableman and Jeanne Marie Herman. Michael Ableman, farmer, author, photographer and food advocate, has been farming organically from since the 1970′s and is considered among the pioneers of the international movement. Renowned for his commercial scale organic farming techniques, Ableman has lectured audiences all over the world about the urban food revolution and agricultural conservation easement. Jeanne Marie Herman has a B.A. in Environmental Studies, with minors in Botany and Urban Planning from the University of California at Santa Barbara, 1986. She has worked as a field biologist, an outdoor educator, environmental consultant, research project manager, education coordinator and farm manager. Jeanne Marie Herman was a founding board member of The Center for Urban Agriculture at Fairview Gardens in Goleta, Ca., At UCSB Geography Department she worked as a research technician for 5 years. Jeanne-Marie is currently co-owner and founder of The Centre For Arts, Ecology, and Agriculture and partners with her husband, Michael Ableman, in managing Foxglove Farm.
