This listing is the spare bedroom in my primary residence. The number of guests is limited to 2, and no small children or pets, please.

Your bedroom in my home shares a wall with the office, so it'll always be quiet in your room. I work from home when I'm off from my full-time job (firefighter), which means you'll have 24 hours to yourself every third day. I think you'll love the peace and quiet of the neighborhood, and I'd be happy to give any local tips you'd like.

The space
You've got a closet in your room that is plenty big enough to hang whatever you need. There are some hangers in there for you if you need a few.

You're welcome to use the front porch or the back patio. You can purchase firewood at any of the local spots (Rouse's, ACE hardware, Walmart, etc.) and use any of the outdoor chairs in whatever way you wish!

Where you’ll be

Gulf Shores, Alabama, United States

This is the up and coming entertainment district of Gulf Shores. Meyer Park (basketball courts, dog park, soccer/ultimate Frisbee fields, horseshoes, etc) is a few blocks away. Big Beach Brewery, Mama Lottie's (great pizza spot), and a number of other restaurants are here in the neighborhood, too. You can walk or even take the bikes to any of them. The Hangout and other beaches are a 5 minute drive, with Walmart and Rouses being half that. The intracoastal waterway is a few blocks north, and there's a public boat launch on it, if you've got your boat. The Gulf State Park is a stone's throw from my front porch, and the bike/hike trails are easy to get to from on foot within the neighborhood. There's a good restaurant back on the trails who host regular live music and good food, if you're into that.
With Orange Beach being our next door neighbor, all of that is anywhere from 5 minutes (The Wharf, Brick and Spoon) to 15 minutes (The Flora-Bama) away. Truly, this is a central location, and my neighborhood doesn't have all the chaos of summertime traffic and Hwy 59. I couldn't be happier living here.
