In the middle of the cross-country ski dorado is Øyerfjellet, with Hafjell alpine facilities in the immediate vicinity. Modern, easy-care apartment that fits 1-2 families. The large loft provides an additional play and sleeping area and has both a TV corner and four beds.

We are three families who own the apartment together and we use it a lot. The downside for tenants is that it is a bit full in drawers and cabinets, the advantage is that it is well-equipped.

The space
The trail network in Hafjell and Øyerfjellet is part of the Hafjell-Nordseter-Sjusjøen-Øyerfjellet ski area and is Norway's largest and best trail network with more than 300 kilometres of cross-country trails. More info about the slopes on or search on Islands hiking slopes.

Where you’ll be

Øyer kommune, Innlandet, Norway

In addition to all the possibilities the mountain offers, it's worth visiting the hotel's cafes - cocoa and waffle in the fireplace lounge, pizza in Pellekroa, or why not a gourmet dinner in the restaurant. Very good food.

Born in Hamar, north of Oslo, half a century ago. I have studied sociology, law and political science. I am interested in politics, climate&environment and international affairs. This suits well to my job on international issues in an industry trade union. Father to three young men, who sometimes help with the hosting. We have lived in this house since 2001, but in 2014-16 major renovations were done, including turning the garage into the flat we occationally let through Airbnb. (at other times, it is home to a student). I like my house, hope you will to. I am in particular happy because it now is quite eco-friendly and uses far less energy than before - there is even 34 solar panels on the roof.
