Where you’ll be

Torio, Provincia de Veraguas, Panama

Torio is centrally located between Playa Reina and Morrillo beach and is in walking distance to Torio beach, as well as several restaurants and bars. Don't be surprised to see horses wandering through! Torio has a lot outdoor activities available. A safe swimming beach is a huge draw for the locals. The Torio river is a great place to explore, bird watch and take a picnic lunch. It has lots of swimming holes and is easy to traverse in the dry season. Several meadows in the river valley are filled with butterflies and dragonflies in such concentrations that you may encounter a professional photographer there. Moving up into the valley you can explore waterfalls and keep an eye out for Indian artifacts. The Torio river has been a source of gold panning for hundreds of years and you might just find a nugget in the river.
